Bike

I bought a bike... helmet. And a lock. Oh, and a bike too. Don't ask the brand, it's from Costco so expect to see many like it across the city this summer.

I also purposely didn't buy a July bus pass to force myself to switch between cycling to work and using bus tickets if it's crappy outside (but less bus tickets used = more money saved, so that is the incentive).

The phrase "it's just like riding a bike" is lost on me because after going a good decade without getting on a bike, I wobbled a lot on my first try, and still occasionally feel a wave of fear wash over me when I go over some rocky pavement or ride next to vehicles. It's going to take a lot of courage to cross the Disraeli Bridge to work, and probably a practice run this upcoming weekend (judging by the hurtyness in my legs and arms after a few neighbourhood jaunts).
